 Kaitlyn Goodin first became employed with the Sumter County Parks & Recreation Department in 2018. She started as a part-time receptionist and kept score for baseball games. In August of 2022, she became the SCPRD's Administrative Assistant. In this role, she has helped and managed our social media pages along with assisting our sports programs on the registration side. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership at Albany State University in December of 2021. Kaitlyn and her husband, Bailey, have been married since January of 2022 and welcomed their first child in May of 2023. Growing up, Kaitlyn was heavily involved in high school sports and, in her spare time, worked for the Bainbridge Decatur County Recreation Authority. When she moved to Americus, she knew she belonged in the recreation and sports world. What does Kaitlyn most enjoy about working at the SCPRD? "I love that I have become friends with everyone who works here. Every time I walk in the office, my coworkers greet me with a friendly face. I also enjoy having the opportunity to be out in the field. Taking pictures of our young athletes and seeing them have such joy fills me with joy. Having a son, I know that he will feel just that as an athlete, here at the Sumter County Parks & Recreation Department." |
