Baseball News & Notes  (Updated May 31, 2025)

The District Baseball Tournament will begin on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

The State Baseball Tournament will begin on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Miscellaneous News (Revised May 31, 2025)

Seasonal Open Gym Basketball will begin on Sunday, June 1, 2025.

The Splash Pad will open for the season on Sunday, June 1, 2025.

Summer Day Camp and Swimming will begin on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Pools will open for the season on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM

The SCPRD will close for the Juneteenth holiday on Wednesday, June 19, 2025.

There will be no Summer Day Camp or Swimming from Monday, June 30, 2025 to Friday, July 4, 2025.

Gymnastics News  (Revised May 31, 2025)

Summer Gymnastics Classes will begin on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Gymnastics AAU Nationals will be held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from Wednesday, June 18, 2025 to Saturday, June 21, 2025.

There will be no Gymnastics classes or team practice from Monday, June 30, 2025 to Friday, July 4, 2025.

Classes are held in six week sessions. For one class a week, the cost is $50. For two, it's $75. We offer classes for ages 18 months and older.

The following classes are offered, by age:
  • Parent/Tot - 18 months to 3 years
  • Preschool - 3 years
  • Primary - 4 to 5 years
  • School Age - 6 to 12 years
  • Ninja Classes (Boys Only) - 4 to 10 years
Beginner and Advanced Tumbling is also offered, along with Backhand Spring classes and more.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW AVAILABLE

SCPRD ONLINE RULES AND REGULATIONS MANUAL  (Updated August 2023)

The online version of the SCPRD Rules and Regulations Manual has been updated on our website. In case you lose your copy, feel free to print any of the pages that you may need from our online version.

PARK RULES

The Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department has implemented a policy in reference to reserving their public parks. A facility use application must be completed 24 hours in advance of reserving park(s), and a small fee will be charged. If you need more information, call the Parks and Recreation office during normal business hours at (229) 924-4878.
